AVUS SOFA

The name came from the sense of speed and movement that angular curves have. Racetracks are examples of that. The oval circuits allow for high speeds thanks to the slope of the tracks that hold the cars to the ground. This centrifugal effect is what made be called Avus. Avus was a very old circuit in Germany that was also very innovative, it had an inclination of more than 40º in the main curve. That track is full of history and, after a while, it became an urban street in Berlin, in addition to being considered the first freeway in Europe.
