Alain Blatché

Alain Blatché

French designer`s Alain Blatché is graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from University of Buenos Aires. He has studied Design at Escola de Desenho Industrial (School of Industrial Design) in Paris. Living in Brazil for some years, his products are always present in the best furniture companies. Awarded in contests such as Salão Design Movesul, Casa Brasil and Planeta Casa, he has participated both in national and international exhibitions. His collections are geared to aspects of contemporary design, with products comprising an extensive range of decorative possibilities and of great visual impact. In his works, he has drawn inspiration from many sources. Study, research, production and marketing knowledge, design quality, intelligence, differentiation, new proposals, the courage to innovate and differentiate. For him, each designer holds a potential audience. When it comes to Design Habitat, he says he interprets the needs of the company and mingles them with global trends, giving them a commercial basis. He says that we have to accept the fact that the formidable dynamics of design lies in the triangulation among: art (drawing), science (industry) and economy (distribution). “It is appropriate to maintain the confluence of these territories: the designer must know and master the three tips of this triangle.” Saccaro has signed the collections Ana Rech and Mo Bo Ma.

Ana Revello Vazquez

Ana Revello Vazquez

Ana Revello Vazquez was born in Uruguay. She is a disenãdora” and an architect graduated from the University of the Republic, Montevideo. She has been working as a designer for over 30 years, helping develop the furniture industry in Brazil while working with leading companies in the sector. Ana has more than 300 products being commercialized and has already received a number of design awards. In her family, she is the third generation architect to work in her office. She sees architecture in a broad manner, acting in all scales of the professional practice – since one complements the other. Ana sees creation as the materialization of thought: the more a product, a shape, a style is identified with the ideas of a moment, of a period, the more valid it becomes. “The habitat of consumers shows what they believe, think and expect from present values, becoming a mirror of their way of life.” To her, Habitat Design is a challenge of more than 25 years of partnership: at Saccaro, design has been always present, and Ana`s journey, as a designer, merges with that of Saccaro. Innovation, technology research, materials and people´s needs, mostly, are the premises for design. “Saccaro creations reflect what one feels, thinks and lives. These are the ingredients considered as essential.”

Emerson Borges

Emerson Borges

Emerson Borges is a designer graduated from PUC-PR in 1979 and has a postgraduate degree in Marketing from Faculdade de Administração e Economia (FAE). He served as a professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná and in the postgraduate course in Marketing at FAE. He has worked as a business consultant through Alvarenga, Borges e Associados (ABA). Among other activities, he served as Director of Creation at Trio Comunicação, developing works for several clients. The Folio armchair, created by him, is part of the design permanent collection of Museo Oscar Niemeyer. His pieces K and Fly have been awarded the Certificado de Boa Forma (Certificate of Good Shape). The Door Elements line has been awarded in Salão de Design/Casa Brasil 2013. Today, Emerson works in the market through B2D Design. The designer believes that the space we inhabit reflects what we are, our dreams, values and anxieties. “It is in it that we express, either consciously or not, what happens in our soul. Each object is there for a reason. It brings a memory, solves a situation or creates a moment. We surround ourselves with furniture and objects that, in a way, support our way of being and living, or express our vision of life, allowing us to be what we are.” “The art of design is to understand the different personal universes and seek, in them, references to develop new products. Every product holds information, perceptions and sensations. Understanding this universe of consumers and interpreting it through colors, shapes and textures, leading the consumer to find in a product by Saccaro the echo of his/her needs, anxieties and desires, is the key to the process as a whole.” To Emerson, every Saccaro product travels in a particular space between the classic and the contemporary. “Creating, for Saccaro, is capturing the essence of a language where every element is there for a reason. Without frivolity or decorative findings, creating is drawing such that each texture, each proposed shape, each material, may be unique while creating synergy with the others. It means eliminating excesses, seeking a conceptual purity to transcend time, in such a way to become the screen where each person may express his/her desires, creating his/her own space.” It is with this vision that Emerson develops products for Saccaro, always seeking this subtle balance between need and solution, seeking in the company´s background, materials and constructive shapes that reveal the refinement of production and the almost-artisanal quality of the products. Saccaro has signed the collections Callas, Flute, Clave and Berg.

Roque Frizzo

Roque Frizzo

Roque Frizzo is graduated in architecture from Unisinos/RS. He has performed his design activities in his own office since 1990, and, as an architect, since 2001 at Roque Frizzo Arquitetura e Design, providing consultancy services and developing products for the furniture industry. He works with design in all areas of the industry. Some of his works have been distinguished in Museo da Casa Brasileira, 1st and 2nd Bienal Brasileira de Design and Salão Design, of Movelsul. Elements of art, culture and of the proportions of nature have directly influenced his work. Wood is one of the main elements and has been present in most of his works. Products that are typically used outdoors, such as chairs, tables and armchairs appear more often in his work, through the mixture of natural materials and craftsmanship in pieces of furniture and the use of technologies in Industrialization. In furniture, the main brand he works with is Saccaro. Furniture design takes up much of his work, even though he works in other segments as well. The creation of furniture and housewares has already earned him recognition. As for awards, Frizzo took the first place in Concurso Nacional ViverBem Novos Talentos in 1996 (a national contest). He also took 2nd place in the same contest in 1997 (Concurso Nacional ViverBem Novos Talentos). In addition, he received an Honorable Mention in the Housewares Category of the 19th Prêmio Design Museu da Casa Brasileira. He was selected for the 1st Bienal Brasileira de Design, and won the 1st place in Prêmio Salão de Design Móvel Sul 2008 with the Deckchair Ayty – Saccaro. He participated in the Edition Design Brasil 101 Anos de História in 2010. In 2012, he was invited to be part of the book Móvel Contemporâneo Brasileiro da Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Brazilian Contemporary Furniture of Getúlio Vargas Foundation). In that same year, he was invited by Orchestra Brasil – Sindimóveis Apex for Mostra (Exchibition) Geração Casa Brasil in Miami, United States. In 2013, he was invited to a week of debates and seminar on Design, in Porto Alegre. To Roque Frizzo, a home must bear witness of those living in it, since a house without stories to tell is an empty house. His works bring part of his stories, people he met and the places where he has been to. Designing a piece of furniture is a way to share something that is very private with someone you even don´t know, and this deserves respect. Saccaro has always believed in design. “Throughout all these years, Saccaro has built its own habitat. This habitat carries identity, authorship and originality, and this is how the designer signs his creations, without of which it can´t be Saccaro.”
